The Australian College of Care Workers (ACCW) is an incorporated, self-regulating, not-for-profit association with approved charity status. The organisation is the peak registration and professional development association for Care Workers facilitating quality of care within the care sector. This organisation supports Care Workers in key areas of practice including Aged Care, Disability, Mental Health, Community, and Special Residential Services. ACCW’s has been developed with industry and government consultation.
We aim to support consistency in standards, scope of practice, and professional recognition through the registration of all Care Workers. We will assist in developing a labour force that is skilled, competent and safe to practice. Opportunities for professional development will be offered through workshops on topics relevant to the care sector.
Membership/registration is for one year with renewal conditional upon mandatory engagement in continuing professional development.
